Come “Support” Gloria Gemma’s 7th Annual Bras for a Cause

Forget everything you thought you knew about bras. The Gloria Gemma Foundation puts its own exciting spin on the women’s every day garment. On Thursday Nov. 21, Gloria Gemma will hold their 7th annual Bras for a Cause event. It is a night notorious for wonderful company and hilarious fashion. This event will take place from 6-11 p.m. at Twin River Casino’s Events Center in Lincoln, Rhode Island. The event will begin with a cocktail hour starting at 6 p.m. followed by a dinner buffet at 7 p.m. Bras for a Cause will also be running a silent auction with live entertainment throughout the night.

The theme this year is an 80’s fashion show, featuring extravagantly decorated bras. In the past there have been American flag bras to Santa Clause bras and everything in between that one could possibly think of. The models who will bring these bras to life are Rhode Island’s very own business professionals. The only catch is that they are all men! The male bra models will be escorted out by breast cancer survivors. This makes the fashion show even more memorable and genuine. “I look forward to this event every year. The people who come out to support and watch are some of the best people I’ve ever met. The whole night is truly unforgettable.”- Mary Smith, breast cancer survivor.

There are still sponsor packages available for the event. An “A-cup” means a $250 donation that includes 2 reservations, cash bar, and dinner stations. The sponsorship packages go all the way up to a busty “D-cup”, which includes a $1,500 donation along with the logo/name represented on the main event page, the website, and Facebook page. A ten-person reserved table is also provided. Either way, all “cup sizes” of the sponsorships include exposure on 2,000 invitations, Twin River’s website, signage check-in, program mention, and lastly on-screen sponsor scroll. If these donations are not accessible for you to donate, tickets are also offered at $50 before and $60 at the door. Follow the link to purchase tickets-

Bras for a Cause is one of the Gloria Gemma Foundation’s most well-known events. All of the proceeds go directly to benefit the organization’s mission. The organization’s mission is to “celebrate and nurture life in our local community before, during and after a cancer diagnosis by providing education, access to wellness resources and support programs to all those touched by cancer.” Gloria Gemma is currently looking for volunteers, items for the silent auction, sponsors, and most importantly- attendees. The grand prize for the silent auction this year is a pair of diamond hoop earrings that were graciously donated by M.R.T. Jewelers. The earrings are 18-karat white gold, valued at $2,000.

The Gloria Gemma Foundation is a nonprofit organization devoted to bringing free services and resources to people touched by breast cancer. The nonprofit focuses on reaching local communities in Rhode Island, eastern Connecticut and southeastern Massachusetts. The foundation was established in 2004, in memory of the beloved Gloria Gemma herself. Gloria was a devoted wife and mother to nine children. After a long and heroic fight against breast cancer, Gloria passed away in 2002. Her family recognized the need for resources and support for the individuals and their families through this time of battle.

Without events like Bras for a Cause, Gloria Gemma would not be able to have this amazing impact on people touched by breast cancer. The Gloria Gemma Foundation thanks everyone, from the models to the volunteers for all of their hard work. The organization extends the warmest of welcomes to anyone looking for a fantastic night out for a good cause.
